The Headline and the Track Record
Hannah opens on the headline slide, then shows real-money results from Andrew's own trading: Robinhood from $24 to $153, SoFi from $11 to $32 and Intel from $26 to $142, including the original alerts he sent.
The Four Criteria and the 97% Number
The four criteria Andrew needs before he buys, examples on Array, Chewy, LI Auto and Wayfair, a Disney example where one criterion was missing, and four years of results: 268 matches, 262 up and 6 down.
Why Now: 154 Stocks, Three Times Normal
As of that morning, 154 stocks had hit the first criterion, compared with the roughly 50 Andrew normally sees. He thinks the number could go higher over the next two months.
Meet Andrew
Hannah introduces Andrew, head of option trading at Option Pit. He was a market maker on the CBOE and the Pacific Exchange, directed the CBOE's education program and co-founded Option Pit in 2011.
How the Rate Hike Created the Opportunity
Andrew explains why interest rates at a 17-year high are pushing institutions out of dividend stocks. Clorox is the example: a 6% dividend yield, and a stock that has fallen from $128 to around $82.
Past Rate Cycles and What Comes Next
Andrew compares this cycle with the 2015-2018 and 2022-2023 hiking cycles and shares how long he thinks this one will last. Hannah covers the two Fed meetings left this year.
The Warren Buffett and Coca-Cola Story
Andrew tells the story of watching huge Coca-Cola put sales on the CBOE floor in 1991 that turned out to be Warren Buffett, and how it started his search for institutional footprints.
Meet Sybil
How the tool Andrew spent eight months building got its name, what it tracks, and a first look at the screen (stock names are blacked out; they're for paid clients only).
Criteria 1 and 2: The 52-Week Low and the 10% Bounce
The first criterion is a stock making a 52-week low. The second is a bounce of at least 10% that holds.
Criteria 3: The Earnings Reaction
Andrew wants to see a positive reaction from the market to earnings, and only after the stock has made its 52-week low.
Criteria 4: The Warren Buffett Step
How Andrew spots institutional buying through long-term options (LEAPS) after the 10% bounce. Hannah says the 97% accuracy came from refining this criterion.
The Next 10 Stocks
Hannah and Andrew go through the 10 stocks on screen (names hidden), which criteria each has hit, and the earnings dates each is waiting on.
